Let’s not monkey around. This week’s invisible movie from 1968 starred Charlton Heston. It was the first in a series of films and also inspired a TV series. It was loosely based on the novel “La planète des singes” by Pierre Boulle, and the script was originally written by Rod Serlin of “Twilight Zone” fame.

I had the pleasure of hosting the Trivia Factory’s $1.000 Tournament of Champions at the Irish Bred in Douglasville today. We’ll be posting the questions we asked on our Trivia Factory website and will probably use them as the theme for our Trivia Guys podcast when we record it later this week.
After reading this blog entry, I won’t feel so bad about driving on Atlanta’s downtown connector tomorrow morning on my way to work. I especially like entry #7: The Road of Death in Bolivia.
“The North Yungas Road is a 43 mile road connecting La Paz and Coroico, 35 miles northeast of La Paz in Bolivia. Famous for its extreme danger, it was christened as the “world’s most dangerous road” in 1995 by the Inter-American Development Bank.”
I’ve toyed with time lapse photography, but this is really spectacular. I especially am amazed at the footage of the time lapse of the fog banks ebbing and flowing.
This week’s invisible movie is a 2001 comedy that includes, among other things, a Neil Diamond cover band called “Diamonds in the Rough.” The singer actually makes a cameo appearance in the movie. The movie did not do well. Reviews were generally negative and box office receipts were low.
As a bit of trivia, Outside North America, the film was titled “Evil Woman.”
