This is a fun, but frustrating little Flash game called Multitask. I didn’t do very well, but it’s fun.

After reading this blog entry, I won’t feel so bad about driving on Atlanta’s downtown connector tomorrow morning on my way to work. I especially like entry #7: The Road of Death in Bolivia.
“The North Yungas Road is a 43 mile road connecting La Paz and Coroico, 35 miles northeast of La Paz in Bolivia. Famous for its extreme danger, it was christened as the “world’s most dangerous road” in 1995 by the Inter-American Development Bank.”

It’s getting close to the end of the year, so here cme the annual lists.
This one is from the folks at the Merriam-Webster dictionary. They selected their top words of the year not by how trendy or new they are, but by which words are the most looked up in their online dictionary. The word people look up more than any other in 2009 was “admonish,” which had to do with Rep. Joe Wilson’s interruption of president Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress in September. In fact, this year, nine of the top ten words are easily linked to big news stories. Here are a few of the others…
- emaciated - from reports of Michael Jackson’s condition at the time of his death
- furlough - from the unpaid furloughs that many employers gave to workers to weather the recession
- pandemic - from news that swine flu had reached pandemic proportions
What a great picture I found on nfl.com of Tashard after he scored a TD in the Cowboys 26-20 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.

I’m a sucker for maps of all kinds, so was excited when I stumbled across this one on the web. It’s called Earth Album Alpha and it’s described by it’s creators as a “simpler, slicker Flickr mash-up that allows you to explore some of the most stunning photos in the world courtesy of Google maps and Flickr.
If you like exploring our world, give this one a spin.

I stumbled upon the blog Instant Shift which has compiled pictures of 84 bizarre and unique buildings around the world. Some are clever and others just plane strange. Pictured above is the Crooked House of Sopot, Poland.
