Here’s a great video. It’s magician and memory expert Harry Lorayne performing the Magic Square. It’s a great performance of a mathematical classic.

I had the pleasure of being picked as a volunteer from the audience to assist Harry during a show here in Atlanta about 15 years ago. If you’re not familiar with Harry Lorayne, he was included in the list of the 100 most influential magicians of the 20th century by Magic Magazine.

This week’s invisible movie should be no real challenge to most movie buffs. It was a groundbreaking 1988 fantasy comedy film that was a live-action/animation hybrid, combining live action with traditional animation. The film is based on Gary K. Wolf’s novel “Who Censored …?” (I’m leaving out part of the title of the novel because it would give the whole thing away.)

The answer to last week’s Invisible Movie was the “Bridget Jones Diary.”

This week’s Invisible movie is a 2001 British romantic comedy based on the novel of the same name written by Helen Fielding. The film caused a bit of a stir before it was released because the lead role went to an American actress to play what some saw as a quintessentially British heroine. Her performance, however was praised — including her English accent — and she was nominated for an Oscar for the part.
